Violences sexuelles récentes — parcours de protection et preuves

What is this for

Après une agression sexuelle, les premières heures sont cruciales pour la prise en charge médicale, psychologique et juridique. Cette fiche propose un parcours concret et protecteur.

Steps to follow

  1. Step 1: Get to safety immediately

Move away from danger, call 17 or 112 and find a safe place. If you cannot speak, send a text message to 114.

  2. Step 2: Get medical care quickly

Go to the emergency department of any hospital, even if you do not know yet whether you will file a complaint. A quick examination allows treatment, preventive medication and useful medical findings. If you file a complaint, the police can request an examination at a forensic medical unit (UMJ).

  3. Step 3: File a complaint if you can

You can file a complaint straight away or later, but keep all evidence and medical certificates.

  4. Step 4: Get specialist support

A victim support association offers psychological, legal and social support. The 116 006 line (France Victimes) is free, every day from 9 am to 8 pm.
