Accessibility statement

Drawn up on 12 October 2026 by the SICESI team — beta version

What is digital accessibility?

An accessible website lets everyone access its content, including people who use assistive technologies (screen reader, keyboard navigation, screen magnifier…).

Compliance status

SICESI is partially compliant with RGAA 4.1 (the French accessibility standard) and with WCAG 2.2 level AA. This statement is based on a self-assessment by the team (code review and keyboard testing). No formal third-party audit has been carried out yet, so no compliance rate is published.

What is in place

  • The language of each page (French or English) is declared as soon as it loads.
  • A “Skip to content” link at the top of each page leads straight to the main content.
  • The same structure on every page: header, main navigation, main content, footer; a single main heading per page and a consistent heading hierarchy.
  • Keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Text and button contrast of at least 4.5:1.
  • Form fields are associated with a label; errors and confirmations are announced to screen readers.
  • Conversational assistant: named dialog window, closes with the Escape key, answers are announced.
  • Search: labelled field and filters, number of results announced.
  • Alerts in guides are conveyed by an icon and a label, not by colour alone.
  • External links are flagged (they open in a new window).
  • Animations are turned off when the system asks for reduced motion.
  • Emergency numbers can be viewed without an account, as call links.

What is not yet compliant or not yet verified

  • No testing has been done with a screen reader yet (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack): the actual behaviour of the assistant, the search and the menu remains to be verified.
  • No full third-party RGAA audit has been carried out.
  • Many guides have not been translated into English yet: in the English version they are displayed in French, and this change of language is not flagged to assistive technologies.
  • The assistant's answers are generated automatically: their structure and language are not controlled.
  • Link text and plain-language quality in the guides are not yet systematically reviewed.
  • Display at 200% zoom and on a 320 px wide screen has not been checked on every page.
  • Emails sent by the site (account confirmation, password reset) have not been checked.
  • The mobile app is not covered by this statement.
