Détresse psychologique — écoute et soutien d'urgence

What is this for

Steps to follow

  1. Step 1: 3114 — National suicide prevention line

Available 24/7, free. Health professionals trained in crisis support listen and guide you. If you are thinking about suicide or someone near you is in danger, call now.

  2. Step 2: SOS Amitié — 09 72 39 40 50

General listening line open 24/7, also by chat and messaging. You can talk about what is weighing on you even if you are not in crisis. Anonymous, charged as a local call.

  3. Step 3: Croix-Rouge Écoute — 0800 858 858

Supportive listening line for loneliness and distress. Free from a landline or mobile, anonymous. It is not open 24/7: check the opening hours on the Red Cross website.

  4. Step 4: Psychological support in other languages

Médecins du Monde, France Terre d'Asile and some public mental health centres (CMP) may offer, depending on the location, consultations with psychologists or interpreters speaking Arabic, English, Spanish, Tigrinya and other languages.

  5. Step 5: In a psychiatric emergency

Go to a hospital emergency department or call 15. Medical teams can act quickly and arrange a hospital stay if needed, with respect for your dignity.
